In the middle of endless grocery lists, diaper changes, and career deadlines, we easily slip into measuring our worth by our productivity: *Did I do enough today? Was I perfect enough? What do they think of me?* But on this beautiful day one, we step back to the very beginning.
Before there was chaos, God spoke light into the dark, formless void, designing a universe out of pure, intentional love. At the peak of this magnificent canvas, He sculpted humanity—He sculpted *you*—in His very own image. You are not a spiritual afterthought. You were crafted with divine intent. Before you are anyone's mother, wife, daughter, or employee, you are first and foremost His deeply loved, treasured daughter.

1 When you look at your tired reflection in the mirror, or find yourself scrolling past the curated "perfect lives" of others on social media, can you stop and tell your heart: *"I bear the sacred, glorious mark of the King of the universe"*?
2 God looked at His creation and declared it "very good." Are you willing to lay down the exhausting pursuit of perfection today? Can you trust that even with unfinished laundry and an uncrossed to-do list, your life is already beloved and "very good" in His sight?

16 And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.
17 And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth,
18 And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good.

20 And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven.
21 And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good.
22 And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth.
23 And the evening and the morning were the fifth day.
24 And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so.
25 And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good.
26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
29 And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.

Let us now lay down the heavy armor of our daily checklists. Carrying both our hopes for this year-long spiritual journey and the very real weariness of our hearts, let us draw near to our Father in true rest.

"Lord Jesus, my feet hit the floor this morning and my mind immediately started racing with anxiety. Looking in the mirror, I silently compared my life, my body, and my parenting to the perfect standards around me, feeling like I fell short before the day even began.
Thank You for reminding me that before I am a mother, a wife, a worker, or a keeper of a home, I am Your daughter. You made me on purpose, in Your image. Today, I drop the heavy armor of having to perform perfectly. Even if laundry is left undone or mistakes are made, help me rest in the truth that in You, I am already deeply loved and 'very good.' Amen."

You are the God who sees them. Bring Your comfort, protection, and restoration to these precious daughters. Ignite Your Church to be a shield for the vulnerable, breaking down cycles of oppression so that every woman may walk in the dignity, respect, and safety of being made in Your image. Amen."
