June Reading Plan: Dandelion One-Year Themed Bible Reading Plan | Brothers' Edition
A daily 15-minute devotional journey for men built around self-mastery, inner rest, purpose, and active faith. In June, we complete Proverbs by exploring temperance, friendship, financial stewardship, and honoring a virtuous wife. We then dive into Psalms to anchor our souls in times of trouble and outline the image of a godly man; move through Ecclesiastes to see beyond worldly vanity and find ultimate purpose; and conclude in James to become men who don't just hear the Word, but put it into practice. Welcome to June, Brother!
A man’s true strength is not measured merely by external achievements or ambition, but by his internal self-discipline, depth of soul, and ability to translate conviction into everyday action.
This June, we transition from practical wisdom into active faith, walking through four crucial areas of spiritual growth:
Self-Control, Stewardship, and Honoring Your Spouse (6/1 – 6/11): Finish the book of Proverbs by learning the art of anger management and self-discipline ("A man without self-control is like a city broken into and left without walls"). Build sound financial habits, and learn from Proverbs 31 how to cherish and honor the wife God has provided.
Soul Rest and the Portrait of a Godly Man (6/12 – 6/19): Refresh your spirit in the Psalms. Move from the rooted tree in Psalm 1 to the quiet waters of Psalm 23, and learn from Psalms 101 and 112 what it means to lead a home with integrity and fear of the Lord.
Piercing the Sun's Vanity & Finding Purpose (6/20 – 6/24): Reflect with Ecclesiastes on labor, time, and the illusion of worldly wealth. Look past life "under the sun" without God, and anchor your purpose in fearing God and keeping His commandments.
Doers of the Word: Beyond Words to Action (6/25 – 6/30): Enter the book of James to face trials with joy, practice being "quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger," tame the tongue, and show your faith through tangible, real-world action.
May the Scriptures this month fortify your self-control, quiet your mind, and build an unshakeable backbone of active faith!
Key Themes for the Month:
Build Inner Walls of Self-Control: Reflect on Proverbs 25:28 and learn to master your emotions, speech, and desires so no footholds are left for the adversary.
Integrity Within Your Home: Meditate on Psalm 101 ("I will walk with integrity of heart within my house") to establish pure standards in private life and digital habits.
Action-Oriented Faith: Grapple with James' call that faith without works is dead, translating spiritual knowledge into leadership at work, home, and community.
