Welcome to October, Brother!
A man’s handling of money, power, and personal integrity reveals where his heart is truly anchored. God does not just want a portion of our spiritual life; He claims lordship over our finances, daily labor, and private thoughts.
This October, our journey transitions from Gospel parables on wealth to practical apostolic instructions and the radical ethics of the Sermon on the Mount across four focused themes:
Faithful Stewardship & Warning Against Greed (10/1 – 10/6): Observe how meeting Jesus transformed Matthew and Zacchaeus; dissect the Rich Fool and Parable of the Talents to guard against greed and embrace active, faithful stewardship.
Work Ethic, Integrity, and Generosity (10/7 – 10/19): Look at Paul’s tentmaking labor, strict warnings against laziness, and instructions to honor employers; learn to store up treasure in heaven while avoiding the deadly trap of deceptive giving shown by Ananias and Sapphira.
Civic Duty, Love, and Freeing Anxiety (10/20 – 10/24): Understand godly submission to authorities, fulfilling the debt of love, eliminating stumbling blocks for brothers, and seeking first the Kingdom of God to conquer worldly anxiety.
Kingdom Manhood & The Sermon on the Mount (10/25 – 10/31): Respond to Christ’s call to fish for men; embrace the Beatitudes, act as salt and light, eradicate inner anger and lust, keep your word with total honesty, and love your enemies.
May the Scriptures this month refine your character, align your finances with God's priorities, and forge you into a man of uncompromising Kingdom integrity!
